Taxi Fare from Newark Airport to NYC?

Can anyone tell me how long a trip and what the fare might be from the Newark Airport to the Queen Mary 2 West Side Terminal at 12th Ave and 57th St in New York City? Thanks for any help you can give.

If you go to the Newark airport website you can find out taxi fares to various places. It seems to me that estimated fares to Manhatten from Newark were in the 40 to 50 dollar range.

I believe the taxi fares at Newark Airport are fixed for many local destinations. You may want to check with the Port Authority of NY/NJ to see if they can give you an amount. But, I think $50.00 would probably be in the ballpark. Have you considered a car service? If you call AirBrook or some other limousine service (which may be less expensive), you should get an actual quote.

Depending on how hearty & frugal you are, you can take an Airlink bus to Newark Penn Station for $4 pp. From there you can take a train from Newark Penn Station to New York Penn Station for about $4-5 pp (if that much). Once at New York Penn Station if traffic's not too heavy you should get to the pier for under $10 with tip. Total cost for 2 people with tips: $28.

trish's idea is good, but I am sure you have luggage, so not such a good idea...Stick with the cab. $35-$45 door - door.
