Formal nights

Going on the mariner in March Asia cruise and wanted to ask do the men still wear dinner suits with Dickie bow on the formal evenings as it has been a while since we last cruised hubby has a dinner suit but would need to buy a new suit if many now just wear suits or is it that there are no formal nights anymore appreciate all answers please thanks

It's a mix of everything. Some wear Tux's (I do). Some wear suites. Some wear Sports Coats with or without ties. Many don't bother and just wear shirts and pants. I have seen T-shirts and jeans in the MDR on Formal Night. So, bottom line is if he has a Tux (dinner suit), that is certainly most appropriate according to the dress code. You will find there are others dressed accordingly. If not, then whatever he feels is appropriate for Formal Night is fine.
