booking solo or change name

Hello. I want to book now with the $99 deposit sale, problem is I don't know who will be going with me. What's the best way to book? I would prefer ES since it is by far the cheapest. Can I change names later if I need to? Or would it be better to book a solo, and add another person later?? Any help would be appreciated...Thanks

Book solo, then add the person later, once you are 100% sure that the other person is going. Early Saver does not allow name changes, not ever, not even for a fee. At least not according to the rules. Carnival has broken this rule for some people, but it's smart to not count on that.

I was in the same situation. Wanted to book while on-board but hadn't yet decided which family member to invite. Fellow at future cruise desk advised me to book solo and told me I could add a second passenger later with no extra fees involved, except of course for port fees, taxes and gratuities for the second person.

I followed his advice, booked Early Saver, and a couple of months later added a name with no problem.
