jasm8449 Posted April 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2004 I am told to make sure that we are not just taken TO Peterhof , but to make sure we go inside. Is this worthwhile? Also, I just got a note from Laura that says a new charge has been added to avoid the long lines at and in Catherine's Palace by allowing their people to enter prior to the public for an additional $15US pp. She says they make no money on this - that this is their cost of getting us in early. Does anyone know about this?
juliejoe Posted April 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2004 This thread has a discussion about visiting the inside of Peterhof or Monplaisir: http://messages.cruisecritic.com/2/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=927093444&f=8463082432&m=80710265 Laura told us the same about the additional charge for Catherine's Palace this year. joan24 Posted April 19, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2004 On our tour with RO in June we are scheduled to go inside the Grand Palace in Peterhoff. All the museums raised their prices in St.Petersburg,so we too are paying $15 pp for early entrance to Catherine's Palace. I discussed this with Laura and I am sure this is definitely worth the extra money to avoid waiting in line. Have a wonderful trip.
