Port View Hotel - NYC

Does anybody know of any hotels in Manhattan that offer a view of the port? I dosent necessarily have to be close just have a view of the ships coming and going.

The Marriott Marquis in Times Square does, but you must ask for a room that faces the Hudson River and high enough up in order to see any vessels that are sailing.

 

Probably, there are some hotels in the Battery area that also offer views, but I cannot say which ones.

Try the Hyatt in Jersey City. Also a hotel or 2 at foot of Weehawken cliffs. directly opposite NYPST. Not sure which brands. But shouldn't be too hard to find. Then just take the ferry across the river to NY.
