judyf Posted February 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2015 Can you still get one of the open safari truck tours at the pier? Can anyone confirm that has been there recently? What beach has the rum distillery next to it? We were suppose to go there once and a traffic accident caused us to miss it. Any other suggestions what to see and do in Tortola on a tour? We are NOT interested in the Baths this trip.
blue_water Posted February 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2015 You'll see several safari taxis at the dock waiting on folks. Many of these are the 20 - 30 passenger taxis that will transfer folks to Cane Garden Bay. We've seen 6 - 7 of these unload while staying at Myett's in CGB :p You'll also see drivers with signs providing island tours, some with beach stops. Excellent tours very cheaply-priced and a gorgeous island to tour. The Callwood rum distillery is the oldest operating distillery in the eastern Carib and is located in Cane Garden Bay. http://www.ministryofrum.com/producerdetails.php?t=
