I will be in St. Croix Saturday, April 11th. Is there a public bus system to go to the rum factory and Sandcastle or is it better to take a taxi?

Bus? Like public transit? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah that's not a real thing here.

 

We use taxi-vans.

Thanks Drake! I know some islands have a public bus/van system for $1.50 one way. That's what I meant.

Ah ok that makes sense.

The taxi will cost you a bit more than that but it's the only real choice.

VITRAN does run a couple of buses on the island that are dirt cheap but they are completely unreliable and no one uses them. Plus last I heard they don't run at all when a ship is in port.

Cabs are cash only. Bring a card for the rum tour though.
