Hi. I just read somewhere that Mlife members has benefits for RCCL.

My husband has an MLife membership but this is our first time cruising with RCCL. Is there any onboard benefits we can take advantage of?

I understand that you can translate your standings from MLife to C&A status, but what if you have no C&A status (first cruise this March), is there any benefits for MLife members on their first RCCL cruise?

Hope my question makes sense. Thanks for an info. :)

Here's an explanation of the benefits you get on Royal:

Thanks!

I'm not really sure what status he has but I'm sure it's very low.

Will he have benefits even if we don't have a C&A number. Everything I read about it is more of a translation of your MLife status to C&A status...but we don't have a C&A status.

Are there any benefits for those who have no C&A number?

I'd call the 800 number on the web page I linked. They should be able to answer that question.

I recently was told in another thread that you'd immediately get a C&A number and gold status if you signed up for MLife and then linked it to your RCCL reservation. Tried it and it worked. If you search this forum for "basic C&A question" you should find it. I'll try to post the link a little later if anyone needs it.

Call Crown and Anchor. Give them your MLife number. You will be immediately assigned a Crown and Anchor number. Have them apply your crown and anchor number to your existing reservation. Even if you are a brand new MLife member, you will board your first cruise as a Gold Crown and Anchor member with the on board discounts already applied to your Sea Pass Card. I would think they could tell you your specific C&A level based on your MLife level.

We did this on our first cruise. Took 5 minutes and worked great!

The sad fact is that you get benifits and rating if you play $5.00 per spin on slots or if you play $50.00 per hand black jack. If you do then you get points awarded that can go toward reducing your next cruise fare....probably free drinks etc.

The rest of us "pikers" will have to be content with the idea that they will "comp" our buffet

One thing to keep in mind is that you can't "double dip" in benefits. This means that if you want to get Casino Royale VIP status with RCI, you can not use your MLife perks. All of your play goes towards MLife and that's it. However, if you want to use your play on this cruise towards future perks with RCI and perhaps some of your folio comped off at the end of the cruise, you're better off not using it.

I called the number and they said I needed a C&A number, but also couldn't speak to me about the MLife membership since it's not my membership.

I will call C&A and let them know that my husband has an MLife membership and see if they can link it. I may even need to re-sign up because my husband can't remember his number since it was a long time ago...also, I read somewhere that it expires, so I may need to sign up again anyways.

Thanks for the suggestions!:)
