We took the local bus for a dollar or two to Rodney Bay. Got off at the mall there and walked about 1/4 - 1/2 mile to the beach.

From Rodney Bay, a taxi to St Lucia Distillers is about $45-1 for up to three persons. FrPm Soufriere, looking at $75us...

Very true, but from port area to Rodney Bay is about 1 us dollar....However to get from Rodney Bay to the Distillers requires at least two bus changes - different route than you took....and will take approx 1 hour or more, especially with waiting for bus down to Rousseau Valley....

Same for Soufriere to Distillers....it's one bus ride, takes over an hour and costs about $3us...

Last time we were in St Lucia, we use St Lucia Taxi Online. The best thing for us at the time was that they accepted credit card payments.
