bcaha Posted March 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2015 We cruised on the Adventure in 2005 and are considering booking for December 2015. I'm wondering if we will notice that the ship has aged in 10 years. Any thoughts? thanks!!! (We've been on 6 RC ships and 2 Princess over the years.) We were just on Adventure and thought the ship was in fine shape.

lexingtonave Posted March 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2015 I just cruised on Adventure in mid February. I had been on this ship before four or five years ago. Overall it was in good shape. There was some peeling paint around the hot tubs, but not enough to keep me out of them. My biggest concern was the sewage smell on embarkation day and in our first two ports. Lower decks near the back of the ship were awful. The smell did not get into the cabins. While at sea there was no problem. I have no idea why this occurred or if it happens on other ships. On another note, I felt there was not enough staff in certain venues. When the Schooner Bar was crowded it was difficult to get a drink. All the staff worked hard and did everything they could to keep us happy. One cruiser told me that a few weeks before we sailed many crew members were transferred to Quantum and not replaced. Don't know if this is true, but having cruised every year on RCCL (for seven years in a row), it was the first time I felt there was not enough staff. JimAOk1945 Posted March 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2015 (edited) We were on the AOS for a Christmas week cruise in 2013. We had a wonderful time. The ship is awesome and the crew is wonderful. Edited March 8, 2015 by JimAOk1945
arkansasflyer Posted March 8, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 8, 2015 i was on 2/22 to 3/1 this year. Ship was in good condition. they painted parts of the ship in each port. they revarnished the rails on deck 4. seemed to be plenty of staff and hand sanitizers.
