Stateroom Assignment Question

My husband and I have a cruise booked for April 23, 2015. This will be the first time that we did not to our stateroom selection. We did choose a balcony room but agreed to let Carnival assign our stateroom. I am really nervous about this. The ship only had a few balcony rooms left and the price was much higher. My question is will I find out what are assignment will be before we sail? Or will it be when we check in the day of cruise? Any info will be much appreciated.

We have booked cabin guarantees several times, and all I can tell you is this: Most times you will know before you sail. It could be anytime between now and then. Check daily. it is possible that you won't know until you get to the pier, but don't worry, you will have a cabin.

We did this as well, upgraded to a BL guarantee. Prior to doing that I did mock bookings. We got our assignment 3 days later. Lido midhip

I've seen quite a few people claim the 25-30 day mark. My last cruise was around day 29 I think.

 

Interior guarantee and were on Verandah deck, AFT. Very pleased.

we did this one time inside gue ended up getting oceanview on deck 1 midship. we got room at check in
