SrTrPro Posted March 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2015 Does Viking serve lunch to those who might stay aboard when lunch is "on your own" if you are taking a tour? Also, asked in a earlier thread with not reply: Can you get change for higher amount Euros (20's & 50's) aboard ship. I know that you cannot exchange currencies> thanks - Bruce
Lolotte Posted March 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2015 There always is a nice lunch served in the dining room ( part buffet, sit-down for main dish) and a buffet upstairs with a barbque style meal as well. I do not remember the currency issue.
deec Posted March 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2015 Last fall we were always able to change high denomination Euros for lower to use for tips etc. Lunch is great on the ship...loved t buffet outside but dining room was nice when there was nothing better to do than eat and enjoy wine or beer!!! We loved the soups both at lunch and dinner!
aquilegia Posted March 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2015 The included morning tours always return to the ship for lunch anyway. You can have it in the dining room or there is a buffet option. Of course, if you wanted to stay onshore after the tour and sample a local restaurant you can do so.
