Just off of the Carnival Fantasy and wanted to give a quick review of our trip as I have seen many questions about this ship lately.

Day 1: Embarkation

We got to the Port of Charleston about 11:30am and began the very unique process of boarding the ship. This is my 4th time on this ship so I was well aware of what to expect. At this port you have to drop your luggage off, pay for parking, $85(handicap parking is free if the person is in your vehicle) then go park your car, and take a shuttle back to the cruise ship. Lines for the shuttle were pretty long so prepare for that. Even without faster to the fun we were on the boat by 12:45 and ready for vacation.

After a Mongolian Wok lunch we headed to our room to relax and wait for luggage which arrived about 2:30pm. By the time we had unpacked we headed out to the famous safety briefing followed by 5pm sail away. Our group had any time dining and the first night we ate early at 6pm. Atmaja was our waiter and done an incredible job. I must admit I rushed through dinner because I wanted the melting cake [emoji12]

After dinner I went to the casino because I was told by the players club that I had pre qualified for an on us drink card. When I got there I was informed that they had no record of that so they could not honor the offer. I had read many times on cruise critic to print off all emails for proof and should have listened. After spending a few bucks on the internet I was able to print my email confirming my eligibility based on my last cruise therefore, they honored it. After losing $200 in the casino it was showtime in the Universe lounge.

Gonna stop for lunch and I'll be back to finish the review. Hope I'm not boring yall to death!

After the Casino we went to the welcome aboard show. Before my honest opinion of this I will say that a bad show on a cruise is way better than being at work. With that being said this was by far the worst welcome aboard show that I have ever been to. The comedians were not funny at all and it was a very boring 30 minutes, but it's vacation so who cares, right?

Day 2: Sea Day

I really enjoy my sleep and don't get to sleep in much back home. Therefore, I woke up at 11am and headed to brunch. The pork chops during the brunch are one of my favorite dishes on the entire boat. After brunch I spent most of my day in the casino. We went to dinner around 7 which again was great and was all week long. Now on to showtime.

MotorCity:

I have seen this show so many times. I can almost quote the lines and sing all the songs. I sure do miss the days of live music in the main lounge and really wish Carnival would change these shows so that repeat cruisers could have something new to watch. With all that being said this was the best execution and best vocals I have heard during this show. Unfortunately this was this teams last show as their contact was up and they were leaving the boat.

I should probably note that the first sea day was elegant night. I wore blue jeans which im sure some people don't like to each his own I guess. The made it plain that shorts, flip flops, and beach attire were not ok but everything else was.

Day 3: Freeport

I must admit that Freeport is not a destination that I enjoy. So I elected to stay on the boat and once again sleep. When I woke up at 11 to my surprise many people had the same idea that I did and several people were still on the ship. This day was very relaxing. I ate lunch and sat and looked out at the ocean for a few hours. Was very peaceful. Followed by a game of Phase 10(which I won [emoji106]) the casino opened at 5:30 I lost $100 in 10 minutes which let me know it was time to go to dinner. After dinner I reluctantly attended a comedy show after the welcome show was so bad and was pleasantly surprised. Nerv(spelling) did a lot of improv and was hilarious. After the show it was back to the casino. Big mistake. I could not catch a single pair in three card poker, but had a blast meeting new people. After losing again(starting to see a trend here) I ordered room service and called it a night.

Anyone got any questions about the ship or the cruise?
