Which deck is better?

Just got an offer from Carnival to upgrade to a higher deck for $40. We have a balcony on Valor. We are currently booked on deck 6 upper. Will the lifeboats be obstructing our view (looking down)? The casino is below us so not sure how loud that might be. Thinking about upgrading to deck 10 Panorama. Thoughts?

Deck 6 way forward balcony room 6211 I just stayed in and it was quiet and close to the secret deck.

deck 7 is where all the suites and penthouse cabins are..

I like deck 9 or deck 7. Deck 9 is nice because it's on Lido and you have cabins above and below (there are only cabins forward and part of mid-ship). There's a glass door between outside and the cabins to keep it quiet.

 

I like 7 because it is sandwiched between floors of cabins, 2 floors up to Lido, 2 floors down to the casino and bars.

 

Deck 10 has the gym above it.

I prefer the Empress Deck which on most ships have the Suites. You will probably want a room where there are rooms above and below you so you can not hear the noise of deck chairs being moved at 6am, or music playing when you are sleeping.

It is really horses for courses, we NEED a cabin midships on a deck with accommodation decks above and below, some people want as low a deck as they can get, others as high others want aft yet others like fore.

I got the same offer yesterday. We had guarantee balcony with no room assignment yet. I went ahead and took the offer and we are staying on the Panorama deck. I hope I like it!

Looks like the room we would get on the Panorama deck is on the other side of the elevators. Looks like there are rooms above and below it so that would be good. And it is almost midship (by waterslide).

 

My main concern is the room we have now on 6. Can you hear casino noise if you are above it? What about smoke smell? And will we have a good view or will lifeboats be below us?

On this class ship we like deck 10. Easy walk down to lido.

My opinion.

ANY cabin on the pool (lido, deck 9) deck is the best on any cruise ship.

I jumped on this exact same offer yesterday for the Liberty. I upgraded from deck 6 to 10. I love being high up and I'm excited about the easy access to the pool and the Lido area!

Thanks everyone! We decided to take the offer! So now we are on Panorama! I am excited!!! Will be nice to be close to the Lido deck. Kids will love being close to the pool!

I would also vote for Deck 7. You have people above and below you so the noise should be minimal. If you aren't worried about noise, the higher the better!!! :)
