Floridanamaw Posted May 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2015 Are there noise issues between the door that connect these connecting rooms? Just curious. Thanks
Sauer-kraut Posted May 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2015 It all depends on who your neighbors are. Mr & Mrs LOUD are more likely to disturb than Mr & Mrs Quiet :D
Floridanamaw Posted May 2, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 2, 2015 This cruise is the New England/Canada one in September and I've heard that the majority of passengers are of the more mature age so hopefully they will be of the quiet nature. 😄
SissasMomE Posted May 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2015 Are there noise issues between the door that connect these connecting rooms? Just curious. Thanks Enough of an issue for my PCC not to book us in a connecting mini suite. I personally wouldn't, unless you know the people in the other cabin. Floridanamaw Posted May 3, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted May 3, 2015 My agent was able to change our cabin and she actually was able to move us from deck nine Balcony to deck ten balcony at no additional charges in our rate. I'm happy with that.
Valen9 Posted May 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2015 Speaking as someone who likes to book connecting cabins with friends and has trouble finding them, I appreciate people who DON'T book them when they don't need them.

Ditto on this! It's frustrating, especially when I need them for my kids. We once had a cruise booked that had all of one of the connecting cabins booked. There were plenty of cabins available, but no 2 connected. When I made my booking the idiot on the phone gave me cabins that did connect, just not to each other. I realized it when I was emailed my docs and could compare them to floor plans...this was a new ship, and we were booked for the inaugural, and floor plans weren't out officially yet. Called back to fix it, and had to argue with her that yes, they were connecting cabins, bu not to each other! (and no, this wasn't NCL)
EyeSeaEwe Posted May 4, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 4, 2015 The doors are solid, the walls are hollow. You will hear more noise though the walls.
Mom2B&Z Posted May 4, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 4, 2015 We have had two cabins with doors connecting to the next cabin and never had a problem with noise. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
tel2 Posted May 4, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 4, 2015 We had connecting cabins with my SIL and BIL, by choice, and he is very hard of hearing and so keeps the television at ear-drum breaking volume, and when the connecting door was closed we could not hear it, though it almost blasted us out of our seats when she opened the connecting door, or when their and our balcony doors were both open....
