What to do before golf...

My DB and I will be in St. kitts in September aboard the Carnival Sunshine. We will be in port from 7-5. I am surprising him with a tee time at Royal St. Kitts Golf Club at 12:00. What should we do before?? This will be our 1st time in St. Kitts. Can we squeeze in any of the must-sees prior to heading to the golf course?

You could do an excursion to see: Caribelle Batik at Romney Manor, Brimstone Hill Fortress, Black Rocks and a drive through Historic Basseterre. St Kitts is small enough to see all of the above before your tee time.

Not being a "fun sponge" ... but more concerned about the tee time than what to do before.:o

Is this Golf at the St. Kitts Golf Club a Carnival sponsored excursion?

If so he'll be perfectly OK.

If not, keep in mind, he'll need to be back to the ship by 4:30. Depending on the travel time, he should be OK but things can happen.

Whatever, nice thing for you to do for your DB. :)

It is only a 10 min drive from the golf course to the port. In Sept I would not expect the course to be busy at that time of day. There is only 1 ship in port also.

He will be golfing solo while I ride along. I think 3 hrs should be plenty of time (hoping). Plus I figured we can get checked in early and maybe get on the course/fingers crossed. Booking directly through the course was much cheaper.

Entirely up to you, but I think your being very optimistic about completing 18 holes in 3 hours. Even with just him playing and the course not very busy he may get behind a couple of slow groups that don't let you play through. Just keep an eye on the time and if forced you may have to cut the round short a hole or two, I think he will still be very happy with that, enjoy your cruise.
