Beach Hotel Near Barcelona

Hey,

 

We are going on Allure of the Seas on Aug 23rd. We have been to Barcelona a few times and would really just like to chill at the beach before our cruise. Does anyone have some suggestions on a nice beach hotel in Spain or near Barcelona?

We stayed at Hotel Arts in Barcelona which is right on the seafront and had beach access. Hotel is very pricey, if you can swing it, it's club level was the best we've have ever experienced. Club level had premium Spanish wines along with Veuve Clicquot Classic, all complimentary along with tapas each evening and tapas each day at lunch time. Check in wasn't until 3pm, we arrived at 9:30 am and was able to hang out in the club lounge until our room was ready.

 

There's a restaurant is walking distance, about a block away called Agua, food was so good at lunch, we went back for dinner and it was very reasonably priced. Plenty of restaurants across the street from the hotel and a small casino next door.

The W hotel is beachfront in Barcelona. You do also have a beach club near the hotel that can be accessed by the general public or you can just access the beach from Barceloneta north if staying at any other property.

 

Sitges is probably the best beach resort town close to Barcelona and is easily reached by the local train network with regular service. The resorts further down the coast probably become impractical.

 

The beaches can be extremely crowded on weekends in August as many locals are on holiday at that time. Weekdays are moderate.

Pullman Barcelona Skipper is a great hotel with short distance to the beach, with a nice pool area.
