Pride of America is port or starboard better for views

Can anyone tell me if getting a balcony room on the port or starboard side is better for this trip for seeing the coast of the islands while we sail. Does this ship get close to the coast like the ships do going to Alaska?

Also, don't want to have any obstructions either. Does Cat B2 and B3 have any rooms that you would say to stay away from middle of ship to aft area.

Thanks in advance for this info.

When the POA does the first sail-by the Napali Coast, the PORT side has the more up-close view.

You can also see it from the Starboard side when it circles back around, however it is farther out, and no narration.

I think I had read that you CANNOT hear the narration from your balcony (which was important to us), so we have a Starboard room, will go upstairs to hear the narration, then come back to our balcony to enjoy the view as it sails past the second time.

This post was saying that you had to be quiet to hear the narration: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=46358054&postcount=27

This one also said it was hard to hear:

I'd recommend an Aft Balcony... huge balcony with two chaise loungers, two chairs and a cocktail table, and still room for 4 adults to move around. Not to mention the great view of the Na Pali coast and an amazing sunrise on Kauai!!!

And others have said that the Narration plays on the TV... if you turn to the correct channel, right?
