treesah Posted July 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2015 We'll be spending two nights in Seward. Can you recommend a couple of restaurants, nothing fancy, but good value for your money? Steaks, burgers, fish and ethnic restaurants are fine. TIA.
AspenRed Posted July 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) I enjoyed the Gold Rush. We ate there twice. They had delicious halibut and chips. The second time I had a burger. It was yummy. We also ate Christo's Palace. I had the best mozzarella sticks I ever ate there. The pizza was delicious. Ms. Gene's Place had an excellent breakfast. I had omelets with reindeer sausage. Yum!!! It is located in Hotel Seward. Check out TripAdvisor, they have more information on all the restaurants in Seward. Northern Aurora Posted July 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 12, 2015 I've always enjoyed Ray's Waterfront, and we dine there each time we are in Seward. We've also enjoyed Chinooks (but I do prefer Ray's). Both of these restaurants are located along the small boat harbor and both have their menus on their websites. While I don't find either particularly expensive, we do live in Alaska and are accustomed to higher meal prices than usual in some other parts of the US. We spent several days in Seward earlier this summer and for the first time had dinner at the Seward Brewing Company. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. This restaurant is located near the SeaLife Center.
Orlando Vic Posted July 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2015 +1 for Ray's Waterfront. The Apollo Restaurant is a modest place and does not have the views that Ray's does, but the food is still good.
deddans Posted July 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Woody's for Thai - it is where the guides go - often out of some dishes and sometimes closed ( !) but it was good food
