Anyone used Onboard Luggage Valet

I'm flying American and I'm very interested in this service. How can I sign up for it?? At the purser's desk once on the ship???

They will deliver a letter to your stateroom during the cruise that tells you about the service and how to sign up...just fill out the form and turn it in to the purser's desk by the time specified.

I just called RCCL to get some questions cleared up. This fine service is not RCCL-wide!

 

This service only applies to:

• Alaska sailings

• Port Everglades

• Jewel of the Seas

• Century (Celebrity’s ship)

 

Airlines involved:

• American

• Air Canada

• Alaska Air

• Continental

• Delta

• Northwest

• United

 

It was recommended that if you don’t see your cruise listed here that you call your cruise line, since others may be taking on this very new service and RCCL could not have information on what other cruise lines are doing.

I wish RCCL would get there act together! :mad: I just got off the phone with RCCL and was told that the valet service is only available in VANCOUVER. I called back 3X, spoke with 3 different reps - same info.

 

Oh well, I guess I'll be schlepping my bags thru MIA. :rolleyes:

It was DEFINITELY available on the 8/28 Mariner, I had the boarding passes and airline luggage tags in my HANDS...until, as explained earlier, I decided not to use the service after all.

 

The whole Vancouver thing is also fairly new, it's also a way for those on Alaska cruises to clear customs faster. THAT program is called "U.S. Direct". That's DIFFERENT from the onboard valet luggage program detailed here, although those ships also are offered the luggage service.

 

Don't give up hope yet. ;)
