La Speiza to Cinque Terre

Hi,

 

We will be going on Allure of the Seas on Aug 23rd. We will be stopping in La Speiza and would like to go to Cinque Terre on our own. We have a 6 year old with us so we probably won't go to all 5 towns.... Should we take the ferry or train? Any recommendations about Cinque Terre would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are MANY threads about doing exactly this. Do both- take the ferry one way, the train the other, perhaps walk from one town to another on a trail.
