Getting around Kona. It appears car rental taxi to airport for Kona. We would like to make this a beach day at Kahaluu Beach Park, which is only 15 minutes from port. Is there a bus or has anyone used Uber taxi? if so how much ?

Enterprise has a shuttle from the tender point to their downtown office. Also, check out Thrifty/Dollar at the King Kam hotel across the street from the tender point. Other rental agencies may also have shuttles. You might want to check out http://www.discounthawaiicarrental.com/ which is used by many of us on CruiseCritic. Be sure to check on the "cruise passenger" option for each port.

You have a beautiful clean beach right at the tender pier with cyrstal clear water, change rooms and your right in the heart of things and never have I seen it busy.

This beach is where the Iron Man does their swim. We have even seen turtles behind

Hulihe'e Palace just down the street.
