8/13/16 Carnival Splendor room 8300

I just realized after Carnival moved us from the Breeze to the Splendor, I noticed my room is above the bar/pool area whereas on the Breeze, the 9th floor is all occupied with rooms. If anyone stayed in room 8300 on the Splendor, did you hear any noise such as the crew setting up and moving the deck chairs around? My cruise is exactly one year from today's date :)

Hi,

Just returned from a cruise on the splendor. I was in 8309. Did not really hear any noise from above.

 

I thought it was a great location since we spent most of our time on decks 9 (pools/bars, buffet), 10 (waterslide and another pool, always available lounges), and 11 (gym).

 

8309 also seemed to be mid ship - so not too far to either end.

Carnival moved you from the best ship to the worst ship. Irreguardless of cabin location. You need to change ships.

This far out, you have your pick of just about any room on the ship. Why not just move to deck 7 or even deck 9?

Worst ship? Really? So you would choose a Fantasy-class ship over Splendor?

I don't think the Splendor is their worst ship. Yes, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the Breeze but the Splendor is going into drydock in 3/6/16-3/20/16 and hopefully some of the 2.0 upgrades are added to the Splendor.

Nobody even asked that poster all of that. You are happy with the ship you choose and can pick another room if you don't get the feedback you like about this one. Enjoy your cruise!

I loved San Juan and Grand Turk. Our itinerary is Gran Turks, Dominican Republic, Curaçao and Aruba. I'm excited abt this cruise
