NEW 2006-2007 Caribbean Brochure available

Just got off the phone with the RCCL brochure Dept. They now have the new 2006 thru early 2007 Brochure available for the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda. ;)

It includes the Freedom of the Seas; however it does not contain ship details of any RCCL ships. :( So hold on to your old Brochures – those deck layouts are a valuable commodity!

Next month, there will be a special Brochure giving the deck details for just the Freedom. :D However, it will only be available to Travel Agents. Your Agent may call RCCL Brochure Dept. & request that they mail one directly to their client.

But wait till next month to call. They are not accepting orders for the Freedom Brochure till then.

Hope this helps everyone out.

Take care,

Suzy B

RCI is now reprinting all the 2006-2007 brochure to INCLUDE the deck plans for each ship. The original printing did not include deck plans and instructed everyone to go online for them. Needless to say, this generated lots of complaints and now the brochures are going back to print with the deck plans included....

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the good news! And a big THANKS to RCCL for listening to their customer’s opinion/complaints. :)

Sounds like the reprint may be a costly lesson. :o If you could Bob, please let us know when the second editions are available. Thanks much.

Take care,

Suzy B

So glad to hear about the reprint. I'm going to Europe next summer and it's the same thing with that set...no deck plans or ship information. Poor planning in my mind. But gald that their fixing it.

Do you know if they are also going to reprint the European brochures?

Thanks!

Learned last week while we were onboard the Enchantment that RCI would be doing a reprint of their brochures with deckplans included. I am sure that someone thought that they could save big bucks by eliminating them from consumer brochures but they were being penny wise and pound foolish. Now the printing costs will be even higher because of the need for a second printing. Oh well, at least they didn't stubbornly stick with their decision when it became obvious that it was the wrong one. :) I suspect that whoever made the original decision never checked with the sales and marketing department, travel agents or their loyal passengers. Hope they print an abundant number of Freedom brochures as that will be one very popular publication. :)

icon13.gifNo More Price Per Specific Room-type

We received the new Caribbean & Alaska 2006/07 Brochures yesterday. Took less than a week. Boy, they are FAST! Alaska still has the ship decks; the Caribbean doesn’t.

Bob & Bill are correct on the reprint issue.

Another new change is they no longer state the price per specific room-type. It states, “Prices for Suites start from $1599.00”.

So they lump all Suites into one category, so you can’t see what the price difference is between the Royal, Owners, Royal Family, Grand, & Jr. Suites. :( Same holds true for all the other stateroom categories.

RCCL PLEASE BRING BACK THE PRICE PER SPECIFIC ROOM-TYPE IN YOUR NEW BROCHURES!!

Thank you,

Suzy B

It's probably because no one actually pays brochure prices so they've decided not to even bother showing them.
