FIFE1 Posted August 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2015 Hi, Does anyone know what type of lager it is on the Majesty this year? Last year it was Mythos glasses, but it was a different brand being served from the pumps (not the greatest). Thanks for any info
Deep Thinking Fish Posted August 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2015 The draught lager is Greek - began with an "M". Might have been the one you referred to. I personally wasn't that impressed with it!
baggieboy8 Posted August 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2015 We went on the Majesty in July on the Italian job cruise and found the draught lager a very nice drink, what do some people want Stella or Carling?. David & Miriam:)

WeeCountyMan Posted August 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2015 (edited) Why would anybody want Carling ? Incidentally, the brand that initiated the devastation the UK's brewing industry - but's that's another story !!! I heard that a few years ago the then Carling owners (Bass ?) wanted to publish a history of the brand and hired a PR company to undertake the project. The task was passed to some staffer in the firm who researched to identify a suitable "name" in the field of British beer. Roger Protz (an expert) was approached and asked to attend a specially organised meeting with the Carling executives without being told the brand name. When RP arrived and was briefed on the potential commission he declared that he had never knowingly allowed a drop of Carling to pass his lips and promptly left the gathering !!! The guy's a hero !!! :D PS Mythos is OK. Edited August 24, 2015 by WeeCountyMan
