Is Azamara cruise line dress code too posh

Recommended Posts

Hi I was wondering if anyone here from Australia, had trouble with what to wear while cruising on Azamara here in Australia. My husband really is only comfortable in shorts and jeans. I understand jeans are not acceptable in the main dining room, but was wondering about in the windows cafe it they are ok.

If he wears a collar shirt with slacks will that be ok in the main dining room. We are not bogans but would like to try a different cruise line other than P&O and Royal Caribbean, but I dont want him to feel too out of place if they are too posh with their dress codes. Any help would be appreciated:)

Azamara is not posh . The dress code is Resort Casual. Note from the extract below, Jeans are not permitted. You could always go to K Mart/Target and get a couple of pair of slacks one black and one brown/cream for hubby. Thats all you need with an open neck shirt.

If you are worried , you could also post on the Azamara board for a wider response.

Azamara Quest Dress Code

Azamara Quest's evening dress code is always resort casual, which means slacks and nice, collared shirts for men, and sundresses, dressy slacks or skirts for ladies. Dressing to the nines is the exception, rather than the rule; we saw some stunning dresses in the specialty restaurants Prime C and Aqualina and in the Discoveries main dining room, as well as a handful of men in suits; mostly passengers dressed nicely but not necessarily fancily. Jeans are not permitted in the main dining room or specialty restaurants.

So if he wears slacks and shirt he'll be fine.
