UK Purchase of $$$ OBC

If I purchase OBC before I sail, using the UK site and a GBP card, and don't use it all on board, how do they refund it? To the original card(s)? To the card I register to my account at checkin?

And if I purchased say $25 for £16 (or whatever the exchange rate is), do they refund $25 (the amount I bought) to my card or £16 (ie the amount I paid).

And is it right that they still deduct 3% if I use the casino for cash? Will Guest Services give me the money back in $$$ cash with no deduction if I ask?

In the past I have transferred excess to another account and get the cash off them.

If the purchase rate is good enough and you can use $ can be worth the 3% hit cheaper than card charges unless you have a no fee/loading one.

Another option is buy cruise rewards/next.
