Is it possible on a 7am-5pm port day from Piraeus, to see the Acropolis, Greek Parliament and do a food/culinary tour? Port day is a Sunday. If anyone has done this or similar I would love to hear about it and some recommended tour guides.

Get to the Acropolis early and spend about 2 hours there with a good guidebook before the worst of the crowds. Then you'll have plenty of time to see a few other things -- what those are is up to you.

I'm not a huge one for food tours, so can't help you there. I can offer some DIY food suggestions, however. Near Syntagma Square (where the changing of the guard occurs), there is a wonderful place called Ariston Bakery that sells traditional Greek pies -- stuffed with various savory ingredients. They are a truly unique experience. Go in and pick out a few different kinds to share.

Of course, everyone walks through the Plaka (at the base of the Acropolis) and finds a spot to sample souvlaki on Monastiraki street (known as the souvlaki street...)

Just did an all day food walking tour with Culinary Backstreets in Istanbul and could not have been more pleased. I would not hesitate to book one of their tours in the other cities, including Athens, where they operate. I thought I knew quite a bit about Turkish food beforehand but learned so much. You might see if they offer a half day tour in Athens.
