To anyone aboard the Constellation in Rhodes

I just wanted to let you know that you had an absolutely perfect day for your port stop here on this lovely island. We had torrential downpours on Friday and Saturday when the Silhouette and the Seabourn were in town. So I hope you all enjoyed your stay here!

 

You sailed right past my hotel room window just before 8 o'clock this morning, so close I thought I could reach out and shake hands with people on deck. So if you're on the port side as you're leaving, I'll be standing out on my balcony waving. I'm at one of the first modern hotels that you'll go past, with a bunch of beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach just below.
