I'm gonna assume you mean the Hilton Rose Hall. if not please ignore this reply. we did it back in April of 2014 with Resort for a day dot com. they pick you up at the pier in a very comfortable, if not a little narrow motor coach. the resort is absolutely beautiful. we reserved in advance and you can look on their web site for the cost and details. it was not a cheap day but it was worth the cost. the food was OK but not over the moon. neither my wife or I drink alcohol so we perhaps got less value than someone who does. we did have several virgin frozen drinks and they were good. service was good and the grounds are immaculate. the only bad thing I have to say is that it was too short of a day particularly given the price. it was my wife's birthday so I really didn't care but I doubt we will spend that much again.

 

as for whether you can get a cheaper deal directly through the resort I don't know. there were no safety concerns whatsoever.
