Istanbul removed from Reflection in 2016

I asked Celebrity on the Facebook page about the May 19 Equinox and they said Istanbul has been canceled.

Celebrity Reflection

•Due to berth availability and port construction in Istanbul scheduled for 2016, Celebrity Reflection will no longer overnight in Istanbul, Turkey.

•To provide guests with the best modern luxury vacation, the Celebrity Reflection will extend its time in Athens with an overnight stay and add stops in Chania, Crete and Bodrum, Turkey.

 

 

Celebrity Equinox

•Due to berth availability and port construction in Istanbul scheduled for 2016, Celebrity Equinox will continue to turn in Istanbul, Turkey in 2016, but will no longer overnight.

•To provide guests with the best modern luxury vacation, Celebrity Equinox will overnight in Athens and extend its time in Santorini, Mykonos and Ephesus or depending on your itinerary, will call into Malta with an overnight stay.

 

 

Celebrity Constellation

•Due to port construction, Istanbul will be removed from Constellation 15 April 2016.

•At this time, we are still optimizing an alternate itinerary. We will make an announcement regarding this sailing as soon as possible.

•Constellation will maintain overnight turn operations on 10 Oct 2016, 21 October 2016 and 2 November 2016.

 

 

Since the construction is beyond our control, Celebrity Cruises will not offer compensation. Celebrity Cruises truly regrets having to take this action, but feel it is in the best interest of all our guests. Thank you very much for your cooperation and understanding. I guess this is about as official notification as we are going to get. I do find it amazing that the cruise which is first off the rank (Constellation 15 April) does not yet have a revised itinerary yet the Reflection (September sailing ) does. Come on X front up and explain what the issues are regarding the April Constellation sailing or do we have to join the ship in Rome to find out changes. As X are still advertising Istanbul as a port and taking bookings for this April cruise knowing full well that it is incorrect is tantamount to fraudulent advertising and promotion.

Chania, lovely place and also good beach opportunities. Bodrum was also on our list so glad to be going there. Any 18 Jul Reflection people please join the Roll Call...
