CruiseAficionado Posted December 21, 2015 #26 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Just got off Star yesterday and experienced no propulsion issues even though we had one night of very rough seas (12' - 18' according to ship channel) causing a show to be postponed a day. However, it felt like gentle rocking in our deck 12 cabin causing us no sleep difficulty whatsoever.
cruzincurt Posted December 28, 2015 #27 Share Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Off the STAR today, 12/27. Coming back to Tampa from Cozumel, the ship stopped dead in the water for about an hour. The Captain said they had an engine cylinder overtemperature alarm and was stopping to check it out. We continued on back up at 17 knots and the Captain said nothing to worry about as they had a spare engine? We arrived early (3-4 hours) in Tampa as he said there might be fog. Or perhaps to provide more repair time? Other than that, no other problems that we were aware of on the previous 6 days.
