scrappinannie Posted January 31, 2016 #51 Share Posted January 31, 2016 I booked a Havana Cabana Suite nearly a year ago for the December 17, 2016, sailing. I paid approximately $1600 pp for a 7 day cruise. My deposit was $500, none refundable. I am excited to try this area out, and can't wait for the first photos and reviews to start coming in. Would you be able to transfer your deposit to another sailing (same ship) if you couldn't make your original booking? I only ask b/c booking 2 years out is a long time! LOL. I can commit to a year, maybe a year and a half, but so much can happen/change in 2 years. Especially with kids. I don't mind paying the down payment with full intention to keep my booking, but I would like the flexibility to change dates, if needed on sailings so far in advance. steph7021 Posted February 1, 2016 #52 Share Posted February 1, 2016 DW and I just got a great deal on the Sept 23 17 cruise. We booked a Havana Cabana extended balcony on deck 7 for a $50 pp deposit and a $175 OBC. We are so looking forward to being on the Vista and with this being a southern Caribbean cruise, new and exciting locations:-) I see the reduced deposit sale but not the OBC. Where is that deal? cruizinisthebest Posted February 1, 2016 #53 Share Posted February 1, 2016 I see the reduced deposit sale but not the OBC. Where is that deal? That was probably booked through a Travel Agent. Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk
Ship2Shore41 Posted February 1, 2016 #54 Share Posted February 1, 2016 It was through American Discount Cruises. When I was researching the best deals, this was the best deal out there for deposit and OBC.
Trumpster Posted February 1, 2016 #55 Share Posted February 1, 2016 Well here's hoping Carnival can pull the execution of these cabins off and the execution works. No matter how nice they look in theory, and the aft pool area, which looks small, even for 60 cabins, It would not take much to make these cabins suck royally. Privacy would have to be a concern on those back porches. And what kind of sea views? That big wind screen on deck 5 will still be there. If the deck is not private? How will the masses reach the pool area after 5PM? Will they all go through the bar area? lots of execution questions. 5 more months. They do look nice and its a cool concept but Carnival has little or no experience in special restricted places.
