Second Guest Half Off Special

Haven't cruised with RCCL for a while and was researching for an upcoming cruise. The RCCL site identifies a half off second guest special. But even with the special the combined rate doesn't seem all that special.

 

Is this truly a current special or is this just simply a marketing tool that RCCL runs all the time?

All specials are marketing tools, so I guess the answer would be both are true.

An extremely low value marketing tool that RCI has been running for well over a year. And the chairman of RCCL has the audacity to accuse his passengers of having a used car salesman mentality. If he wants to see used car salesman mentality, he can look in the mirror.:mad:

When the first person is double the regular rate and then you add 1/2 of that...it comes to not-so-great a deal...

You have an interesting way to put things into perspective. And when it comes to selling cars all that really matters is the bottom line. The math used to get there is rather inconsequential.
