You asked this question on http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2292893 about Fort Lauderdale motels. I still have the same unanswered questions: When? What is your budget? Will you have a rental car? Do you really mean only motels (no hotels)?

Villa Europa is a nice motel less than a block from the beach. There are eating places all along the beach so there will be places close by wherever you stay. Villa Europa does not have a pool. It is a one-story motel style place with kitchenettes and very reasonable prices.
