Overall, the day at Tortola was good. It started out a little rough (waking up early, rushing, and seasickness) but we had an amazing experience at the Baths and Devil's Bay.

The rocks are massive and beautiful and the beaches are stunning. Amazing work of nature! I'm glad we were able to do it but probably won't do it again as a cruise ship excursion.

Here are more photos at Tortola.

Thanks for the full review and the review of the Baths. I am going in 6 weeks and plan on doing this excursion. I wonder if you get more time there booking outside of the cruise line.

Your pictures and videos are amazing and this is probably the best review I've read. I can't wait for Escape - I think this is #13 for me with NCL and so looking forward to this one. Will be in a Spa Balcony Cabin - can't wait and you just confirmed what a great ship this will be for us.

Thank you soooo much!!!!

Thank you very much for the compliments!

The all aboard time in Tortola is 2:30PM, so we were hesitant to visit the Baths on our own.

The thermal suite on the Escape is just amazing, I'm sure you are going to have a great cruise! Enjoy.

Our final port of call was Nassau, in the Bahamas. This was one port that we've been to several times before so we did not plan anything for this day.

We decided walk around the main street a little and take some pictures. We stopped by Del Sol and got some color changing stuff for our daughter. Here are some photos in Nassau.

THE STAFF

I have nothing bad to say about all the staff I have met. They all work very long hours and will always try their best to help you. All of them are polite and most of them are cheerful.

The service in the restaurants are good. It can be a little slow at times but we were on vacation, so we were not really in a rush.

Our room steward was not the best but he was fine. I suspect NCL management has been assigning more rooms to each room steward since I was surprised with dust build up in the room. He also forgot to give us the towels that we requested so we can head out to the beach in St. Thomas. We called housekeeping and the towels were delivered to our stateroom immediately.

These are very minor things, in my opinion, so it did not really bother us. Overall, we received great service during our cruise.

The towel animals never fail to make us smile!

DISEMBARKATION

I am never happy to see these!

Disembarkation was easy and very organized. We picked a later time to leave the ship. We picked 9:15AM (Green). That was a Saturday and our check in time for our hotel in Disney World was around 4:00 PM so we were not in any rush to leave.

While waiting for our color/time, we just waited and took pictures around the Casino and Atrium.

Finding our bags was very easy and the line was not very long. We were in our rental car and ready to leave the parking lot around 10:00 AM. For our 7 night cruise, we paid $140 for parking. The parking at the port was very safe and walking from the terminal was very easy.

Fantastic review! Learned so much. So glad you had such a good time. What time did you make it back to the ship in Tortola?

Thanks for reading, I'm glad that you found this review helpful.

Since we were part of the first group (7:00 AM) for the Baths excursion, we were back on the ship around 12:15PM.

Hi thanks for your fantastic review great detail fab photos and videos too.Made me feel hungry and desperate to go back on her again!

In my opinion, you missed out by not sampling Food Republic. That gives you a perfect excuse to go back though.

:)

Thanks for reading! I would love to sail on the Escape again in the future, maybe next year.

Thanks for the heads up about Food Republic. We missed the Million Dollar Quartet and the Supper Club as well, few more reasons to book another Escape cruise.

Thanks for the great review. When doing the excursion with NCL, what time would you say you were you back on the Escape? Thanks!

If you don't mind my asking, could I trouble you for your opinion on the Baths for a larger guy (football build - slightly pudgy with broad shoulders )?

Some of the openings I saw from the pictures you took (which were great, by the way), made me question whether I'm going to be able to squeeze my middle-aged body through them.

Thanks for reading along. I'm glad you liked the photos.

It is definitely doable. You will probably need to crawl to squeeze in, if that is fine with you then you can definitely do it.

Hi! I very much enjoyed your review!

I have a couple of questions and would appreciate if you take the time to answer them.

Did you catch the 7:45am ferry to Virgin Gorda? Did you use the same ferry as people who decided to go there on their own?

What time did you take the ferry back to Tortola? Did NCL provide a different ferry for you to get back or did you still use the regular ferry? How crowded was the ferry on your return (ie was anyone left behind due to the ferry being full?)

Thank you! I'm trying to decide whether an excursion through NCL is necessary.

Hi! Thank you.

I apologize in advance since I am unable to answer some of your questions. I'm checking to time stamps on our photos to determine the time.

Did you catch the 7:45am ferry to Virgin Gorda? I think the ferry left around 7:45AM.

Did you use the same ferry as people who decided to go there on their own?

I'm not sure.

What time did you take the ferry back to Tortola? Around 11:30AM.

Did NCL provide a different ferry for you to get back or did you still use the regular ferry? I'm not sure.

How crowded was the ferry on your return? It was crowded, some peope were standing outside when the ferry left. I'm not sure if anyone was left behind since we were inside (middle of the ferry to reduce the chance of getting seasick.)

Someone did the Baths on their own, I think he/she might know more than I do.
