Beeslilmama Posted January 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2016 Looking to get a waterproof hip pack type bag for our cruise. Has anyone used the Blue Sky Basics hip belt? Found it on Amazon and the reviews are quite good. Just wanted to know if anyone had one or something else they would recommend. Plan to use it for IDs, cash and sign & sail card. Don't plan to take the phone into port so that won't be an issue. Thanks in advance for any help!
sofietucker Posted February 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2016 Sorry for the late reply--we use this these & love them! W/ cells & cameras too--all safely safely dry. First time the outer ziplok seal leaked but the other two kept everything dry. Prolly user error... they do recommend testing them in sink/tub to be sure you are sealing correctly. Easy/comfy to wear too--be sure to smush out the air before sealing so they don't float.
gwsster Posted March 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2016 Bought 2, then bought 2 more.....Love them, make sure all 3 seals are totally closed. Then after water exposure wipe the bag down after unrolling it before opening the seals. The blue bag is see through if that is a concern to you. The black bag is not see through. I prefer the waist packs over the lanyard containers. The lanyards end up floating in front of your face and can be a safety hazard. Looking to get a waterproof hip pack type bag for our cruise.
