gvgseg Posted January 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Can anyone recommend some toddler friendly excursions? I'll be there with my wife, 3yo daughter and 14mo son, and my in-laws in about 2 weeks. I've been leaning toward Chankanaab but i just wonder whether we would really get our money's worth as my son can't really do anything and my daughter isn't all that adventurous. I've also thought about Paradise Beach or some of the other beach resorts, but I just don't think that those are really our style (we are not alcohol drinkers and I'm wondering if my daughter would be too small to go on the water park inflatables) We live in So Cal half an hour from the beach, so spending a day at the beach isn't as intriguing for us as it would be for most. Any other suggestions that you guys may have that could work with 2 young kids?
JohninDC Posted January 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Your daughter would be too small for the inflatables. Playa Mia Beach club has a kiddie water park area that your toddler should enjoy. Coz is an island so most of the activities revolve around the beach and water; I agree that your two are likely too young to get much out of Chank and the admission for your group would be $40+ You might just cab to downtown, walk around a bit, maybe get lunch or a drink, and then head back to enjoy the un-crowded ship. Check the family cruise board for more specific advice when travelling with two youngsters - and then worry about when they are old enough to drink and hit the casino! http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
Starflyr3 Posted January 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2016 what about Melia? It has a Flinstones Kids club with lots to do (even driveable kiddie electric cars!) pool, beach, kids club... Playa Mia was ok for us last year, but the kids water area was really cold.
gvgseg Posted January 19, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Is Melia open to daily visitors? Their website makes it seem like you have to have booked a room there to use the facilities.
Starflyr3 Posted January 21, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2016 I reserved a day pass through resort for a day (dot) com, may not be directly purchaseable, though. Not sure.
