There is a news story in the telegraph about cruise company's making money when people don't read the small print you can catch it on yahoo

 

whats differant about cruise companies small print as against every other type of companies small print ???????????????????????????

It's more to do with when you have to cancel and what they don't tell you and how they make money, have a look maybe it's something you don't know but might need to know

Looked at it, nothing new, been like that for years in all walks of the travel industry, it was always possible to pursue some sort of partial refund IF you could be bothered to have a long drawn out battle with the company concerned, most people just use their travel insurance and take a hit on the excess, i see that some people quoted in the article did not have insurance, not a very good move unless you can afford to take a massive hit for things other than just a cancellation.

I am glad some thought it was a interesting read that's what the forum is about to try help people be aware of things and to help with stuff we don't know

End of the day it is buyer beware....

 

If you don't like the conditions book elsewhere. The power is with the buyer

 

Of course problems come about when people don't read the small print as many don't.

 

Booking a cruise is entering into a contract with the travel company, no different from ordering double glazing or purchasing a motor on HP.
