"Child's age" for shore excursions

As a newbie I'm confused by Princess's policy on children. My son is 15 years old. We couldn't book him a cabin on his own because he's not an adult. However, we had to pay full price for him because (you've guessed it), he's an adult.

 

Now we're trying to book some of the shore excursions on line, and don't know whether to book a child or adult place. I'm expecting to be told he's an adult (so we are forced to pay more) but can someone please confirm this? We don't want to throw any more money at Princess than we have to!

Our daughter is 14 and we book the adult excursion through Princess. Child is 12 and under now. So yes, you will need to book the adult excursion for your son.
