Massage - Which one?

I would like to treat my husband to a massage while on the cruise for his birthday....which one is better? Swedish? Deep Tissue? Is the Deep Tissue one painful? Thanks!

I love deep tissue because I want my muscles rubbed not just my skin. Some people are sensitive and get sore. I never have. I always feel great. Have had many over the years.

Also, does anyone know what time they stop serving breakfast on the Lido deck? That way I can kind of figure out what time to book? Thanks, just can't remember from last year......

Breakfast runs until about 11:00.

 

I would suggest the hot stones massage, those are really relaxing, though a Swedish is also a very nice massage.

I like the hot stone massage. Would like to try a bamboo massage too. For some people the deep tissue is painful but a good masseuse watches body cues and knows when to ease up a little.

Also thinking about doing this for my husband as a surprise. Does anyone know if I wait to book if they run specials on the first day and is gratuity added automatically and if so what percentage?

I have had a massage on a ship and would not do this again. They are overpriced and are not as good as I can get at home. I'm sure that the quality varies from ship to ship, but the price is always too high. Just another opinion and, yes, I know we all have one.LOL
