electricron Posted October 22, 2005 #151 Share Posted October 22, 2005 I wish they had some free cold drink besides iced tea something like lemonade and, while it would be too much to ask to bring your own wine on board, I wish they had a better wine program of some sort. Maybe a selection of a few mid-priced wines and you could sign up at the beginning of the cruise to choose one of those for dinner each night at a special price or something like that. No wonder you have such a negative opinion of NCL. You're afraid to ask. You can bring your own wine aboard. All you have to do is call NCL in advance, and pay a $15 per bottle corkage fee. Dolphins Posted October 23, 2005 #153 Share Posted October 23, 2005 When NCL designs a new ship to sail year round out of new York, they should make sure it has a retractable glass roof over the pool area similar to those on many HAL ships. ZydeDiverDC Posted October 23, 2005 #154 Share Posted October 23, 2005 Hello ! I wish the customer service department really was that..instead of customer go away... oh well. I found Carnival to at least listen.. and to try .. I will cruise again with Carnival. Royal was fun to cruise and had no complaints and would cruise again. I have not had scads of experience but I listen .. and plan.. and am very grateful for CC who teaches patience, honor and respect.. that seems to have gotten me thru lots of iccky things on board a cruise ship!! my request: I would like to get a smoothie card for me!!! an adult.. that doesn't drink much and this would be great. I never drink soda so a smoothie would be like going to the mall and feeling quite caribbean.. ahh I can hear those steel drums now!! silly I guess, but I would like that. and I would like to bring a six pack of water without feeling like a criminal! That said, thanks every one for letting me vent!:)

I have seen many, including my daughter bring it on with never even a second look by anyone? NMNita
samtig Posted October 24, 2005 #156 Share Posted October 24, 2005 You don't have to feel like a criminal. Don't think they care. In New Orleans they have families bringing on cases of water & cokes on dollies for family reunion groups. Norwegian didn't blink an eye.
