Valet Luggage Service for Canadians

In the past Canadians have been unable to use the Valet service provided by cruise and air lines.

 

We've just returned from a Celebrity cruise and just this season, international flights offer this service. Now Air Canada is NOT one of the listed lines, but since we were flying American Airlines we qualified.

 

The system worked like a charm and our luggage appeared at the Ottawa airport just as promised.

 

And added advantage apparently is that luggage is not weighted though we were well under.

We flew AA home from Port Canaveral on FOS and used valet as well. It was nice not having to haul luggage all day.

The information appeared along with all disembarkation info mid cruise. The charge was $20 each bag along with prepaying the airline baggage charges.

So you can not do this if you are flying Air Canada? Really to bad. I would have loved to have sent my luggage onto Ottawa. No dragging it around all day. Maybe the policy will have changed by the 15th of April.

It appears to be airline dependent rather than cruise line dependent.

 

That was our first American Airlines flight ever.
