Hi there, we are on for the 20th and the 22nd sailing. I think we have met before, on the very first year of the Independence of the Seas sailing, we are Irene and Douglas from the West Coast of Scotland. I was just wondering if you have received any booking reference details for the 20th sailing in order to complete the on-line registration details etc., or is this all done by RCI direct and not required? This is the first new ship event we have been invited to. In addition, have you managed to secure the same cabin for all of your back-to-back sailings?

Irene social work Gourock ?

What has happened in the past was Rccl sent out a ref number about 4 weeks before sail date which you then do the normal check in online, be aware there is no luggage service and you have to carry your own, cabin wise we have the same cabin for the 4 and 3 nights but moving straight across the corridor for the 7 nighter.

Ahh, nearly right (but good memory) - I was Economic Development, Gourock - retired now (yippee)!

Thanks for the info, much appreciated, yes I know about the luggage side of things on the 2 day event - you will see us struggling on board with our suitcase for the additional 4 nighter! Looking forward to being on the Harmony - we loved the Allure, but we are not fans of the Anthem.

We will be on from May 29 - June 5.

My husband and I and a few other gay friends and a couple of our straight girlfriends. There will be 8 of us coming from the USA.

Our first time on a cruise and our honeymoon, would love to meet up with some other gay people for a few drinks to celebrate

We shall be on the same cruise. Do we think we can get a good Friends of Dorothy session going?

Would posting a FOD Meet at 10:30pm in the Champagne bar be an idea ?

You could except no champagne bar on Harmony! The bionic bar replaces it on the promenade.

They normally have a meeting on the community boards a bit earlier so will be interesting to see which bar they hold them in..

On Anthem last year the FOD was at 5:30 pm in the bionic bar  there was never anyone there.

Will see what they have posted on the first cruise.

We went the first day but 530 didn't suit us at all. The gatherings after 9pm have been the most successful ones I have been to. Far more social.

We are onboard from the 29th. Would love to meet up with you all for a few drinks

We join on the 26th and are doing BTB till 5 June

Looking like Boleros as we have no Champagne Bar? Or do people want to wait to see what RCL post on board?

A time?

Supposedly it's 10pm at the Bionic Bar or so the cruise director said on his bulletin TV thing

Must check that out. Surely a mention in the compass would be useful too? That does surprise me as you can't use drinks packages there...or can you?
