Pearl Island Stingray Encounter

Has anyone ever did the "Pearl Island Stingray Encounter" offered by Carnival? I would like to have any suggestions whether good or bad on this excursion. I would also like to know what kind of facilities this excursion offers at Pearl Island.

DH and I are doing this excursion when we are there in Nov. They have BR and changing facilities, but everything is salt water, no fresh water showers or anything. There is also a light house you can go up in. There is a place that sells food and a gift shop.

 

To get my info, I did a search for Pearl Island on this port thread and read some of the previous posts. Hope it helps.

Just got back and I did not like Pearl Island. This is not worth the money to go over there. I would choose another excursion if I could have done this over. You are really wasting your time if you do this. Several other people who went also said this was not what they expected. You can only do the stingray or snorkel for one hour and the rest on teh beach which is so tiny. I would really suggest somewhere else.

I was thinking about booking this excursion until I did a search & found this thread...has anyone else done this excursion recently?
