Pre-purchased drink package billed onboard?

Way back in 2015 we booked our Alaska cruise onboard for the extra OBC. We got the promotion at the time, BOGOHO premium beverage package. It shows on our booking confirmation from RCI and the confirmation from our TA. It's also included in the price on the confirmations.

 

Well our TA just billed the final payment thru RCI to our credit card for an amount that did not include the BOGOHO premium beverage package. I called our TA to verify the amount, and even had them call RCI to verify the package was still on our reservation. It even shows as 2 beverage packages purchased RCI online!

 

My guess is they will bill us onboard. Which is fine, we can use some of substantial OBC. But it's always been if you pre-buy you are charged before the cruise. Naturally we will bring all the paperwork! :cool:

 

Is this a new policy?

I would be surprised if the policy was changing. More like you're getting free beverage packages.:)
