jenseib Posted May 13, 2016 Author #126 Share Posted May 13, 2016 I know there was a reason I took this next picture, but looking at it now….I have no clue why. Maybe I thought it was funny that he was feeding the birds? nas146 by Jenseib, on Flickr We went through security and headed back to our lovely ship. nas147 by Jenseib, on Flickr bah64 by Jenseib, on Flickr And then we took pictures of each other in front of the ship. We had picked up brochures and I had a stack with me and I displayed them as if I was selling the Bahamas while getting my picture. bah65 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas148 by Jenseib, on Flickr And back to the ship we went and we went our separate ways. I think I went back to the room to drop off my stuff and leave my big camera in there. I am pretty sure Cass was in the room and I am sure I chatted with her for a bit. I took this picture out our window. nas2 by Jenseib, on Flickr
jenseib Posted May 13, 2016 Author #127 Share Posted May 13, 2016 I honestly don’t remember what I did after that and if Cass joined me or not. I think I made my way to Guest services to apply gift cards and cash to my account. I found that they already charged my card for the purses but was told it would be reimbursed and only the difference would go on my card at the end of the cruise…and that’s exactly what happened. nas3 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas4 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas5 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas6 by Jenseib, on Flickr

cruzin Phillis Posted May 13, 2016 #129 Share Posted May 13, 2016 I think I see the backside of water! And it was…except that it was deep fried GATOR! And no matter how tasty it was, I had a hard time getting around that fact. Hahaha. I did eat quite a bit of it though and had to keep telling my brain to stop thinking about the fact that it was gator. No shock to me. Gator is a regular menu item here in the deep south of Texas and Louisiana!!!
jenseib Posted May 15, 2016 Author #130 Share Posted May 15, 2016 No shock to me. Gator is a regular menu item here in the deep south of Texas and Louisiana!!! I do believe that. Not something I have even heard of here in Ohio. :p
jenseib Posted May 15, 2016 Author #131 Share Posted May 15, 2016 I believe I did some browsing around the ship after a visit to Guest Services. nas10 by Jenseib, on Flickr There are my purses…the blue one on the right is my cross over bag. nas11 by Jenseib, on Flickr And the one on the bottom is my full sized bag….I just LOVE these and am switching back and forth between the 2 since I got home. nas12 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas13 by Jenseib, on Flickr They were getting ready for the Tangled show tonight, which we were all excited about. jenseib Posted May 17, 2016 Author #136 Share Posted May 17, 2016 I continued around the ship taking pictures. nas40 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas41 by Jenseib, on Flickr Tonight was optional dress up night and they were setting up the pretty backdrops for pictures. nas42 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas43 by Jenseib, on Flickr And back to the room…probably to shower and get ready for the night. Our stateroom host had left our beds/bunks made like this because we had egg crate cushions on them. He could have taken them off each day and put that back on but he asked Cass and she said it wouldn’t matter if he left them as is and it really didn’t. We were not in the room much this cruise. A longer one it might have made a difference but we were so busy most of the time it never bothered me. nas44 by Jenseib, on Flickr And I believe we started pulling out then. nas45 by Jenseib, on Flickr

jenseib Posted May 17, 2016 Author #139 Share Posted May 17, 2016 nas58 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas59 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas60 by Jenseib, on Flickr I liked them so much that I picked one of those out and printed it and framed it for my bedroom. Then the announcement was made. Because of the winds and waves we were going to head straight to Castaway Cay tonight and dock. Of course we won’t be able to get off the ship till the morning, but as wavy as it is, we probably won’t be able to dock tomorrow if we wait. HOW>>>COOL>>>>IS>>>>>THAT? I had wondered if we would be able to dock myself a few times knowing this had been a bit of a rougher sailing than normal. Seeing the waves come in at Atlantis also made me wonder earlier in the day. I am so glad they decided to go tonight so we could make it there. I know it happens every so often, but I felt special to be able to do this. I headed back to the room and we could see the pilot boat out our window. I really tried to get a shot of the guy jumping from boat to boat, but I just couldn’t make that darn window move out further for me to see. LOL. bah66 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas61 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas62 by Jenseib, on Flickr

jenseib Posted May 19, 2016 Author #142 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Tonight dinner was at Lumiere’s which is one of my favorite places. nas65 by Jenseib, on Flickr We mixed and mingled and Cass found an edge seat and I sat next to her. I think Patty was across from us. I had missed it yesterday, but I think Patty had said something to Jason about loving fruit and cheese. Well he is just so awesome….he brought out a fruit and cheese plate for a starter for us. nas66 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas67 by Jenseib, on Flickr We browsed the menus and I decided on about 18 different things I wanted. nas68 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas69 by Jenseib, on Flickr Rolls! nas70 by Jenseib, on Flickr
jenseib Posted May 19, 2016 Author #143 Share Posted May 19, 2016 And I love getting this drink here. It’s called a Princess Delight. It does not have alcohol and it is basically strawberry and mango and just heavenly. Several others saw it and ordered it as well. nas71 by Jenseib, on Flickr Shrimp for 1 of my starters. nas72 by Jenseib, on Flickr And escargot. nas73 by Jenseib, on Flickr And French onion soup. nas74 by Jenseib, on Flickr The photographer was coming around and taking a picture of each girl individually. Seriously? I don’t want a picture of myself at a table. So when she arrived to us, I told Cass we were getting a “couples” picture….here is my bootleg copy of the happy couple! bah74 by Jenseib, on Flickr I then suggested we should get a group picture. So we all rambled to one side of the table. It’s a nice shot, even if there is food in front of us. This one doesn’t have Charlotte in it..who was a friend along for the ride (or Michelle’s husband who had gotten sick and her son who would rather die than eat with all of us), but I think Brook bought a copy that does have Charlotte in it. bah75 by Jenseib, on Flickr
jenseib Posted May 19, 2016 Author #144 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Tonight O’Gills had been turned into the Snugly Duckling for the Tangled night. jenseib Posted May 19, 2016 Author #145 Share Posted May 19, 2016 We had several of us celebrating February b-days on this cruise. Mine is the 14th, just in case you want to send me a gift, Katie’s was happening while on the cruise and Wendy was about a week after we got home, so we had each night planned for one of us to celebrate. Tonight was my night and they brought me this. nas81 by Jenseib, on Flickr It looks good, but the top is like a jelly. It was gross. The mousse type stuff in the middle was good so I had to work my way around the gross stuff to get to it. But I was really full anyways so a few bites is all I could handle. Not long after dinner we were pulling into Castaway Cay and I went out to take some of the world’s worst pictures. nas82 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas83 by Jenseib, on Flickr Those were exciting weren’t they? nas84 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas85 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas86 by Jenseib, on Flickr
jenseib Posted May 19, 2016 Author #146 Share Posted May 19, 2016 I think I headed to the club after that. I believe tonight they had an adult show with a comedian and it was pretty funny. He had puppets and I enjoyed him. At one point a lady got up to leave and the puppet called her out. She was wearing a striped shirt and he said something along the lines of “I found Waldo’s wife” and it was really funny….except she didn’t think so and she came back and was staring him down. She was a witch with a capital B. I couldn’t believe she wouldn’t just laugh it off. I later learn that this lady was drinking majorly…every single night here. She was with her husband and another couple (or 2) and they were all obnoxious and rude. I don’t mind people drinking or even getting a little drunk on vacation, but control yourself…this is Disney after all. I think we danced a little bit after the show, but I can’t remember anymore. Back to the room….. nas87 by Jenseib, on Flickr And this guy was waiting for us. bah73 by Jenseib, on Flickr nas88 by Jenseib, on Flickr Brook switched places with me tonight and took the top and she was freaking out a bit. She said she was afraid of heights and it was freaking her out. I told her I would take it but she said no. I really didn’t mind, but unless I grabbed her and yanked her out she was staying up there. I believe Cass took the couch bed and I had the big bed for 1 night…and ironically, if I remember right, I had the worst of my 4 nights sleep in that bed….go figure. I think we talked a bit and then out I went. I think Brook read late into the night. And that was the end to a very busy but fun day!
jenseib Posted May 21, 2016 Author #147 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Sunday Feb. 9, 2016 Another early morning for me. I believe I once again heard Cass get up and go out to take some sunrise pictures. I was right behind her. We were already docked at Castaway Cay so I wanted to take a look. I think I may have found Cass, but I could be totally wrong on that. Not the best sunrise shot, but it was pretty and probably the best of all our mornings. caw1 by Jenseib, on Flickr Thank goodness we did dock last night as it was wavy and windy! We would have never made it to the island if we had waited till today. Video of the wind and waves…well you can’t see the wind but you sure can hear it. Video I walked around a bit, passing Palo. cc21 by Jenseib, on Flickr And then went for some breakfast. cast1 by Jenseib, on Flickr Sadly the whipped cream on DCL is not nearly as good (and probably less fattening) than NCL.
