Tallinn Tours

We leave in a little more than a month on a Baltic cruise and I am still a bit at sea over an accessible tour in Tallinn. Dudette has MS and while she can transfer to a van or a small bus her folding wheelchair needs to come along in the trunk or the back. She doesn't expect to see everything, she knows the city has lots of cobble stones ..... which wheelchair people hate....but I would like her to see as much as possible.

Anyone have an accessible tour recommendation for Tallinn?

thanks

Thank you, I am familiar with those 2 sites and am in contact with Saku Travel, I was looking for the thoughts and recommendations of someone who has visited Tallinn.

Have actually been to Tallinn but prior to my MS having progressed to the need of a mobility scooter. I took the cruise line's general city tour at the time but will tell you it was very difficult for at the time due to all the cobblestones that I spent most of it sitting on bench talking with the bus driver until the other passengers returned. Those using manual wheelchairs had great difficulty maneuvering all the cobblestones and uneven terrain.

Good luck in your search for an accessible tour.

I have made a number of inquires of Tallin guides and have found that Skau Travel and Estonian Experience offer accessible tours of Tallinn as does Tulika Premium Taxi and the limo service LuxLimu. Saku and Estonian seemed a bit expensive and while the taxi and limo service wasn't bad for a 4 hour hire, however I was a little afraid of whether the driver spoke fluent English or not.

In the end I have found a guide thru Tours by Locals who seems to have good English skills, offers an accessible tour, has great references and had a very reasonable price for the 2 of us. I will try to remember post a review when we return.

Hi there. I hope that you are also posting this is the sub category for Europe! I too am going to on a Baltic Cruise in a month. We will be on the Celebrity and I was wondering about Tallin. We've booked for SPG so far but nothing else. I would be so pleased if you could share your information about tours.

I took a manual wheelchair to Tallin. We took a taxi to the top of the hill and walked down. Luckily, I can do some walking as I spent a lot of time getting in and out of the wheelchair.

There have been no attempts by the local authorities to make it remotely accessible.

We took the trip on the Dotto train and put the wheelchair on the train. Personally, I can't see how a tour of Tallin can be disabled friendly and wouldn't bother wasting my money on booking one.

I had wanted to visit Tallin for a long time, but found it very disappointing. Too many people and too commercialised.
