Allure Dining Question

We will be sailing on Allure of the Seas in August and have a dining question. The shows work better with the 6:00 traditional dining time, yet our friends also sailing want us to consider My Time Dining instead. With a full ship, how long will we have to wait in line to be seated in MTD vs. an immediate seating at 6:00 which we consider to be earlier than desired. In the past we have hated the waiting but they claim there is no real wait on the Allure. Please share any recent experiences. Thanks in advance.

I always go traditional. Love having the same waiter the whole cruise, and definitely love knowing that you will sit immediately.

I, too, prefer traditional.....your friends can do as they please....at least, my friends would...we don't feel the need to be together for everything!

First of all Allure always sails full - as do most RCI ships. In terms of wait, that will depend on what time you go to the MDR, how big your party is, and if you are trying to get a specific size table. But there really is no way to predict the wait time as it can vary nightly. But 10 minutes or so would not be out of the question.

 

You can also reserve times with MTD that will assure you a certain time each night. But as with any restaurant, the times and availability can be limited and will book on a first come, first served basis. So make them as far in advance of your sailing date as possible for best selection.
