Epic disembarkation - Rome

Hello,

I am trying to plan my return trip to my hotel in Rome after the cruise and I noticed on the NCL website under the vacation summary tab this message.

Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing. Disembarkation usually begins 2 hours after docking. Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice.

According to the schedule, the ship pulls into port at 6:00 AM. Is the above message a generic disembarkation message or is there a high likelihood that we would not be able to get off of the ship no earlier than 8:00 AM?

Thank you

We were on Epic last month, disembarking in Rome. While we were in no hurry, we were watching folks disembarking from our breakfast table at no later than 7AM.

Generic but it all depends on how quick the shore authorities clear the ship, some ports certainly take 2 hours!!

Since the ship is likely coming from another Italian port (or the very least another EU country) there is not to clear. It should go quickly.
